We are going to Stuttgart!

Once again we are traveling, this time to the southern German city Stuttgart. It can seem like we don’t go anywhere but Germany, and right now that is true, but this time we didn’t decide the destination! My sisters son is getting baptized, and since his father is from Stuttgart, they chose to do it there – we don’t complain! Vacation, Germany and family time, what’s not to love!

Stuttgart is the sixth largest city in Germany, I haven’t been there so all I really know about it, is that it is there Loki goes in the first Avengers movie. I hope to get some more usable knowledge once I get there!

But right now I’m in the airport all alone waiting to board. Marie is traveling with my sister and the star himself later.

When I walked around the airport I spotted the LEGO store! I totally forgot it was here!

Since I am going to a childs party I looked around in the DUPLO section, but it seemed silly to buy something on the way out.

I also saw the new Marvel sets for the first time! I gots to have!

Ohh a new Iron Man. I wants!

One thing that annoyed me, was that it looked like they changed the color of the Hulk in one of the sets. They did the same with Captain America in the old Marvel sets, and it really bugs me!

But I’ll buy them anyway, and LEGO knows that..

Life-size LEGO cups

This is Laura and me toasting in the LEGO store at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. We’re crazy about those cups!
They too are available in a Friends colour, but I’m not too fond of that version.

The blue one on the other hand reminds me so much of my early childhood fun times with LEGO.
There’s just one little downside to the cups; holding that handle is quite awkward. The plastic cuts into your hand and it definitely does not fit into a human hand as well as it does into a LEGO figure hand.

But who cares really? They look great!

LEGO pick-a-brick

It’s been a while since I visited the Copenhagen LEGO store, but today Laura and I met up there to buy series 12 minifigures. Unfortunately, they were sold out (new ones should be there by Monday). Instead we shared a pick-a-brick cup. For the first time ever, I remembered a cup from home, so I could save that 6,50 DKK (not even 1€). This is what we got:

(Truth be told, we found the series 12 in a toy shop afterwards, but more on that the next couple of days.)

Series 12 is here!

The 12th series of collectible minifigs have hit the stores, or the LEGO stores at least, I haven’t seen them anywhere else yet.
I went in for a quick look on saturday. I was in a rush, so I just grabbed two bags, one with a dress and one with regular legs, so I knew I wouldn’t end up with two of the same.

Turned out it wasn’t a dress, but a robe. My first series 12 minifigs was the wizard in all his blue and purple glory!

The second mini fig was the juggler. They fit right in with my castle build!

I also got a first glance at the new Winter Set!

While Marie is really not happy with both the size and especially the reindeers, I really like all of it!
I can’t wait to get my hands on it.
But it will be some time, Marie and I made an agreement not to open them until a few days before christmas, so we have something to look forward to!

Le Mans 2014

This weekend is one of my favorites of the year. Right now in the small French town of Le Mans, the 24 hours of Le Mans is rolling along in the rain.
As always I’m watching the full 24 hours.

And I prepared well;

Yesterday Marie and I met up i downtown Copenhagen, we went to the LEGO store, of course, and had a look at the new sets, the karnival, the new aquartic and all the new city sets. I bought alone aquartic set, mainly for the awesome dogsled! Marie and I bought some minifig parts, and to get the awesome Balloon stand I bought the race car, I already have one, by felt that Autostadt Falkenburg could handle two race cars.

So now I’m ready 20 hours of TV watching and LEGO building.
If you need me I’ll be in front of the telly.
